Why You Should Join the Exit Velo Hitting Clinic
If you're serious about hitting, then exit velocity matters. It's one of the most important indicators of a hitter's power potential — and it’s what separates good hitters from dangerous ones.
The Takeover Baseball Exit Velo Hitting Clinic is a 5-week, high-intensity program designed to help players of all levels increase bat speed, improve swing mechanics, and hit the ball harder and more consistently. We combine proven swing development strategies with technology-driven feedback to help hitters understand their swing and maximize performance.
What Makes This Clinic Different?
✅ Radar-Measured Progress
Players get baseline and final exit velocity readings, plus weekly tracking to monitor improvement and compete with their peers.
✅ Mechanics + Intent-Based Hitting
We focus on teaching players how to use their lower half, create proper sequencing, and generate real power with every swing.
✅ Custom Drills & Bat Speed Training
Through targeted drill work and overload/underload bat training, players learn how to move faster, stronger, and with more control through the zone.
✅ Makeup Week Included
We understand it's summer — if you’re going on vacation, you won’t miss out. We’ve built in a makeup week so players can stay on track.

Justin Nastasi
Justin Nastasi is an accomplished baseball coach with a championship pedigree and a strong record of developing elite talent. He is currently the Head Baseball Coach at Middlesex High School, where he has compiled an impressive 175–81 record over nine seasons. During that time, he has led the program to five Central Jersey Group 1 Championships and three Group 1 State Championships, helping establish Middlesex as one of the premier programs in New Jersey. In 2018, his team was ranked #9 in the state.
Under his leadership, many of his players have gone on to have successful collegiate careers, with several being drafted by professional organizations — a testament to the program's high standards and its focus on player development.
Justin’s coaching excellence has earned him numerous accolades:
-
Coach of the Year honors from NJ.com, MSG Varsity, the Home News Tribune, and the Greater Middlesex Conference
-
Leader of NJ.com’s Team of the Year (2021)
-
Part of the Courier News “Program of the Decade” (2010–2019)
In 2024, Justin joined Hillsborough High School’s coaching staff and immediately made an impact, helping guide the Raiders to a Central Jersey Group 4 Championship, their first since 2012, and their first winning season in many years.
Before becoming head coach, Justin served as Middlesex’s assistant and pitching coach for eight seasons, helping guide the team to six Blue Division titles, one County Championship, and two additional State Championships.
As a player, Justin was a standout pitcher at Union High School, a three-year varsity letterwinner, and the team’s ace, helping lead them to a sectional final. He also pitched for the New Jersey Riptide, who finished 4th nationally at the 1999 AAU Nationals. At the college level, he pitched for Kean University, where he was part of the program’s first-ever NJAC Championship team.
Justin earned his degree in Physical Education with a specialization in Fitness from Kean University, giving him a deep understanding of how to build the strength and power necessary for success on the field. His background in physical education allows him to integrate strength training and athletic development directly into his coaching philosophy — especially when it comes to hitting harder, throwing faster, and staying healthier.
