Takeover Baseball Clinches Lead In Fifth Inning For Victory Over D1 Colts

Takeover Baseball grabbed the lead late and defeated D1 Colts 11-9 on Sunday in Round 1 of the Columbus Day Bash Tournament. Takeover Baseball was down 8-5 in the top of the fifth inning when Liam Gallagher started the rally by singling, then Max Romanok singled, then with two outs Paul Serra and Donovan Epps both had RBI singles, Lunden Chadwell walked, Gavin Corcoran singled scoring two runs and Kyle Bare capped off the inning with RBI single. Both pitching staffs had their hands full, frequently dealing with runners on base. Takeover Baseball collected ten hits and D1 Colts had six. Takeover Baseball got things started in the first inning when Santino Cignarella reached base by a error, Max Romanok had a base hit and the Gavin Arieno tripled and scored on a throwing error.
