Takeover Baseball Nabs Win Over Carteret Nighthawks Despite Early 3-run inning

Takeover Baseball claimed a 13-3 victory on Sunday, despite a push by Carteret Nighthawks in the first inning. Down 3-0 in the bottom of the second inning, Takeover Baseball tied things up at three. The inning was started off by Liam Gallagher and Lunden Chadwell who both singled then Mark Ward and Kyle Bare drove in runs when they singled. Takeover Baseball pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning, Gavin Arieno singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring Santino Cignarella then Paul Serra singled, scoring Gavin Arieno, and Lunden Chadwell had a 2 RBI single. Takeover Baseball notched five runs in the fourth inning, big bats in the inning were led by singles by Donovan Epps , Santino Cignarella, and Liam Gallagher and a walk by Max Romanok. Gavin Corcaran was the winning pitcher for Takeover Baseball going four innings of relief, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out three and walking one.
