Takeover 13U Orange Has Strong Opening To Fall Season

In the opening game of Perfect Game Super 25 Qualifier Takeover 13U Orange jumped out to an early lead over Intensity Baseball and took home a 6-3 victory on Saturday. Takeover 13U Orange scored on a single by Jake Abrams , a walk by Aaron Corcoran, and a sacrifice fly by Andrew Bena in the first inning. Nicholas Wells earned the win for Takeover 13U Orange, Wells surrendered three runs on seven hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out eight and walking one. Abrams threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Wells, Kyle Malchiodi, Corcoran, Dylan Holmberg, Abrams , and Bena each managed one hit to lead Takeover 13U Orange. Takeover 13U Orange stole six bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Colton Lyerly led the way with two. Takeover 13U Orange didn't commit a single error in the field. Abrams had the most chances in the field with nine.

In game two Takeover 13U Orange built a four-run lead in the sixth inning and then held off Diamond Jacks's charge for a 7-6 victory on Saturday. Bats blistered as Takeover 13U Orange collected eight hits, Aaron Corcoran and Dylan Holmberg all collected multiple hits for Takeover 13U Orange. Holmberg and Corcoran each managed two hits to lead Takeover 13U Orange. Andrew Bena was the winning pitcher for Takeover 13U Orange. Bena went five innings, allowing five runs on six hits and striking out six. Trey Lyerly and Justin Brown entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. .Takeover 13U Orange didn't commit a single error in the field.
