Takeover Baseball 13U Clinches Lead In Fifth Inning To Defeat CK Cardinals 13U

Takeover Baseball 13U took the lead late in the game in a 5-3 victory over one seed CK Cardinals 13U travel baseball team

in round two of playoffs on Sunday. In the first inning, Takeover Baseball 13U got their offense started when Paul Serra hit into a fielder's choice, scoring Santino Cignarella who reached on a walk. The game was tied at one with Takeover Baseball 13U batting in the top of the fifth when Mark Marsigliano led off the inning with a base hit to center, then Mark Ward and Santino Cignarella followed with back to back singles, Paul Serra reached on an error scoring Marisgliano, then Gavin Arieno came to the plate and crushed a bases loaded triple to center clearing the bases putting the game away for Takeover Baseball 13U. Lunden Chadwell was the winning pitcher for Takeover Baseball 13U, he lasted five innings, allowing three hits and three runs while striking out five. Santino Cignarella threw one inning of relief and recorded a save. Mark Ward led Takeover Baseball 13U with two hits in two at bats.
