Takeover Baseball Claws Back, But Falls Just Short Against East Brunswick Vipers

Despite a 4-run deficit in the sixth inning, Takeover Baseball almost came all the way back, eventually falling 8-6 to East Brunswick Vipers on Saturday. Takeover Baseball scored two runs in the failed comeback on a ground out by Max Romanok and a walk by Jack Shannon. Takeover Baseball collected seven hits and East Brunswick Vipers had ten in the high-scoring affair. Takeover Baseball took an early lead in the first inning scoring two runs when Max Romanok singled. In the top of the third inning, East Brunswick Vipers tied things up at three. East Brunswick Vipers took the lead for good with two runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth East Brunswick singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. East Brunswick scored three runs in the sixth inning. Kyle Bare started on the mound for Takeover Baseball, he went one inning, allowing one run on two hits and walking one. Also on the mound Liam Gallagher, Donovan Epps, and Mark Ward each threw one inning allowing 0 hits and striking out a combined 6 batters. At the plate Takeover Baseball collected seven hits, Santino Cignarella and Donovan Epps led the way with two hits a piece and Max Romanok had one hit with 3 RBI's.
